Expected Time Committments:

National Board Members are expected to participate in WUW related activities no less than approx 10 hours per month
Attend a (2) hour monthly board meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the evening via the designated Video Conferencing tool
8 hours of additional service. * Varies by position. You will also be asked to leverage WUW tools such as email, and other collaboration tools to stay connected
Travel to our Annual Board of Directors meeting (location TBD) which is held over 2 days. (traditionally, arrive Friday evening all day Saturday, and AM Sunday depart for home Sunday PM) Travel is paid by WUW
Active participation in all areas of the organization. Our leadership of our organization is a small and healthy non-profit that relies strictly on the volunteerism of it's directors and officers. This requires all roles to help in many aspects to achieve success.
Every National Board Member is asked to attend (1) wedding wish per year (travel expenses to be paid by WUW)

We appreciate the time you took to provide your information for a possible Board Member position. Someone will get back to you shortly to let you know the application is being reviewed. If you are selected to move forward in the application process the next step would be a phone conversation with either the President or the Vice President. If successful in that conversation, candidates will be forwarded to the entire board for review and consideration. Additional interviews could be requested. If the board believes that a candidate is a good fit, then they will be voted on in the next monthly board meeting. If not, then a letter will be sent informing of the boards decision.
